happy holidays everyone!

Hi there! Well, the holidays have been SUPER mellow. We didn't do any gifts this year...chad and i decided early on that we would just buy what we wanted for ourselves. My parents also didn't want anything so we just went out to a nice dinner  on xmas eve. The food was great and we had a great table overlooking a canal near the ocean.

Xmas day hubs and i went to a nice mexican lunch then went home, watched some movies and chilled. It was the most relaxing xmas we've ever had.

I got myself a new North Face jacket...which should be arriving today. I'm very excited about that - it's a very cool jacket and i know i'll get tons of use out of it. It's perfect for camping, rain, snow, every type of cold weather. The color is perfect too - black and nickel. I find more often than not that women's jackets come in really cheesey, girlie color combos (pale pink and blue, ambrosia -crap like that) and it's refreshing to find this one in a more versatile color. We're heading up to Sonoma County (california wine country about 2 hrs above San Francisco)  next weekend and it's pretty chilly up that way this time of year...perfect place to use my jacket!

We're going up for my friend Jill's bday; we've been looking forward to this trip for about 2 months. We love going up to visit. We get to stay with our good friends barb and jeff, then see everyone else the rest of the weekend. Goodie!

It is so dead here at work today...i think i'm gonna bail out at about 2 or so. both my bosses are gone and the office is completely dead. my other co-worker that is here doesn't have anything to do either. B-O-R-I-N-G i tell ya. So basically I just sit here, listen to music, read the news, play word games...basically just waste time.

So for NY's eve we'll be spending the night at our friends Frank and Karol's place. We've never spent NY's together so it'll be nice. We usually go to the desert and I am SO glad we aren't doing that this year. I love the desert and I love camping but I HATE holiday traffic.

So basically, we've had an extremely mellow holiday season. Yippeeee!!

"American Pie" actress turns herself in at NY court
Fri Dec 15, 2006 2:54 PM ET

By Jeanne King

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Actress Natasha Lyonne, the star of "American Pie" accused of threatening to sexually molest a dog, turned herself in at a New York court on Friday.

A bench warrant was issued for her arrest in January after Lyonne, who has also appeared in "Blade," and "Scary Movie 2," missed four court hearings.

The 27-year-old faced a number of charges including criminal mischief, harassment and trespassing after accusations she threatened to sexually molest her former neighbor's dog and ripped a mirror off the wall during a 2004 argument.

At the Manhattan Criminal Court appearance, drug counselor Heather Hayes said Lyonne had completed an in-patient drug program in February and continued to attend outpatient rehabilitation groups.

Judge Anthony Ferrara said the charges would be dropped if the actress stayed out of trouble for the next six months.

In the court complaint, Lyonne's former roommate claimed Lyonne trashed their apartment and then banged on a neighbor's door, rushed into that apartment and picked up her dog, telling the woman, "I'm going to sexually molest your dog."

Lyonne pleaded guilty in 2002 to driving under the influence of alcohol in Miami. She was fined, sentenced to six months probation and 50 hours community service.

Monday, Monday, Monday

Yup...it's the beginning of another work week.

The weekend was really fun; I went out for a couple of drinks with some friends on Friday night (that was last minute). The party on Saturday night was good fun...amazingly I didn't wake up hungover.

Well, that's not entirely true. Chad woke me up (we stayed at Frank and Karol's) and i was super cranky because I DID NOT want to get up yet. Well, I got dressed and when we got out to the car we saw that it was 745a...GEEZ! So as soon as we got home, I went straight back to bed. I started on the couch but hubbs was snoring freakin' loud so i ended up going to bed. I managed to get myself out of bed around 12p and ate, so basically i slept off the hangover. Funny thing is i kept falling asleep all day...I thought that I wouldn't be able to sleep last night but I slept great!

I'm loving my new haircut..as soon as i get my pics downloaded i'll put one up.

Weekend Warrior - that's me!

I live for the weekend...and that's about all I have to say today...at least for right now. I haven't read the news yet...

hum dee dum

It's 1230p...only 3.5 hrs to go.

Hubbs and I started going through all our pics (the old fashioned paper ones) and man, there are a lot. We have so many freakin' wedding photos - it's crazy.

I really would like to do a photo wall but i think we'll wait on that until we get a house - which will hopefully be next year - because the place we live in now just isn't very homie. At least we'll start looking then...I've been wanting to move for quite sometime. The place we're in now has a lot of weird crap tied to it that i'd like to just forget about. Not with hubby but with neighbors and the neighborhood in general...luckily we finally had some cool neighbors move in right next to us. The whole area just has this weird energy to it...can't explain it really.

There's been one overdose death and one suicide in the bldg (there's only 4 apts) in the last 6 mo's, both of which happened within a week of eachother, both of our cats have been injured (one several times), there's crappy kids that live around the corner, just an overall yucky energy...unfortunately hubbs had to deal more "intimately" with the suicide than i did but living there after that hasn't been easy...i just keep facing forward and reminding myself that it's only a matter of time before we have our own house. We're almost done paying off my school loan and we'll be set to start looking.

We almost moved out immediately after the suicide but it costs so much to move that we decided against it...but i do dislike the place more and more as time passes - which makes for an unhappy jellipop.

Where that shpeel came from i'm not really sure but i guess i needed to share it...

Hmmm...very interesting.
